Mike is an AV Preeminent rated lawyer and a Florida Bar Board Certified Tax Lawyer. He has been recognized by his peers as one of Florida Trend’s Legal Elite and he has received numerous Florida Super Lawyer Awards. Mike is a member of the Florida Bar, the Jacksonville Bar Association, and the U.S. Tax Court. He is a member of the Tax Law and Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Sections of the Florida Bar. Mike has served as an adjunct professor at the Florida Coastal School of Law. He is a frequent lecturer on tax, estate planning, wealth preservation and business planning topics to attorneys, accountants, physicians, and financial advisors. Mike is a tax specialist and concentrates his practice on Estate and Tax Planning, Probate, Wealth Preservation and Business Succession Planning for high net-worth individuals, owners of closely-held businesses, and for-profit and not-for-profit organizations throughout the State of Florida.
Mike earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors from the University of Florida and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida. He graduated cum laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in accounting. He is licensed to practice in the State of Florida.
